Carolina Wildlife 20th Anniversary Logo Competition

Carolina Wildlife Care is in need of a great student artist to design a logo celebrating “20 Years of Saving Wildlife”.  Review the competition details to learn how you can get involved in the Carolina Wildlife Care 20th Anniversary Logo Competition.

What is the CWC 20th Anniversary Logo Competition?

Carolina Wildlife Care wants a logo designed for its 20th Anniversary celebration.  We thought who would be better at designing it than the kids?  We know that when they connect to wildlife, it can have a positive, lasting impact for the animals.

We are asking children from Richland and Lexington Counties to design a logo so it expresses the “wild” and wonder of wildlife living in our own backyards.  Submitted designs will be voted on by the staff, volunteers and board of directors for Carolina Wildlife Care.

The winning design will be used to advertise Carolina Wildlife Care’s 20th Anniversary for the entire year of 2009!

Who can participate?

Any child in grades K through 8th from Richland and Lexington counties can participate in the 20th Anniversary Logo Competition.  There is no fee to enter.

How can I get involved?

To submit your child’s entry for 20th Anniversary Logo Competition, fill out the Contest Registration Form with your child’s design and submit via email to Carolina Wildlife Care or drop off your design to:

Carolina Wildlife Care
Attn: 20th Anniversary Competition
5551 Bush River Road                                                                                                       Columbia, SC 29212

Designs submitted without the Contest Registration Form will not be entered into the competition.

Logo designs are due by December 19th, 2008.  The winning design will be selected before December 31st, 2008 and the designer will be notified by mail.

Competition guidelines

  • Use white, 8.5 x 11 inch paper for your design.
  • Use as many animals as you like, but they must be wildlife that you might find living around your own backyard or neighborhood.
  • Draw the wildlife in a “natural” way.  The animal can live around a house, but not in it!
  • Your design can be in pencil, crayons, marker or paint, or can be done using a computer program. (Your design must be two-dimensional)
  • Use your imagination and create an original design.
  • Each child can submit up to two designs.
  • All designs must be received by December 19th, 2009.
  • All designs become property of Carolina Wildlife Care and will not be returned.

What will I win if my design is selected?

The design receiving the most votes will become Carolina Wildlife Care’s 20th Anniversary logo and will appear in all advertising for Carolina Wildlife Care’s 20th Anniversary, including press releases, t-shirt design, the website, and the newsletter Wild Things.  The winning designer will also receive a free offsite education program for his or her classroom.
