Infant Mice and Rats

We are unable to accept infant mice and rats

Starting immediately, Carolina Wildlife Center will no longer be accepting infant mice and rats as patients. CWC is not capable of rehabilitating infant mice and rats due to our limited staffing. Infant mice and rats require feeding every hour on the hour 24/7.  We are not staffed to support this level of care.  In the past other rehabilitators provided this service for us but they are no longer in the network.

While it breaks our heart to turn any animals away, we just cannot provide the specialized care these babies need.

Your understanding is appreciated as we make this difficult change in care.

Please note: Carolina Wildlife Center does not endorse or recommend other wildlife rehabilitation organizations or individual rehabilitators for rescue advice or rehabilitation service as we do not formally vet other wildlife rehabilitation providers.
